Polygel is often considered easier for beginners because it has a lighter texture, better control during application, and minimal odor. Unlike acrylic, it does not dry instantly — it cures only under a UV/LED lamp, which gives more working time to shape the nails. Polygel also feels lighter on the nails while still being strong enough for overlays and extensions, making it a great balance between gel flexibility and acrylic strength.
